Our Practice
In September 2015, the 193 member states of the General Assembly of the United Nations, including Sudan, unanimously adopted the resolution “Transforming our world: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.” The 2030 Agenda contains 17 aspirational goals for achieving social, economic, and environmental sustainable development worldwide. These sustainable development goals aim, for example, to eradicate global poverty, achieve gender equality, foster economic growth, protect the environment, promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels.
H&H strives to make a difference on the issues that enrich people’s lives, and our commitment to making a difference in society is embedded in everything we do. We believe our firm has an opportunity and a responsibility to use our knowledge and our capabilities to help address Sudan’s most pressing social and environmental issues. We are committed to helping create positive, enduring change in the Sudan and our neighboring countries.
Specifically, we are very spirited with Goal 17 that “Enhance the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development, complemented by multi-stakeholder partnerships that mobilize and share knowledge, expertise, technology and financial resources, to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals in all countries, in particular developing countries.”
What we Do
The focus of our advice is to help intergovernmental institutions to analyze the socioeconomic aspects of the community and disadvantaged groups in terms of employment, earnings, education, health, and well-being. The circumstances for different groups can vary significantly, so we also help to draw out findings on specific challenges throughout our consulting and advice.
